Yay!!! Como ya saben, anoche fue el primer partido de la temporada de los Suns de Phoenix como visitantes en Los Angeles contra los Clippers.

Fue un partido emocionante… según lo que leí en Twitter.

Los Suns terminaron la primera mitad empatados a 53 puntos.

Al final del tercero los Clippers lograron irse arriba pero por tan sólo 2 puntos.

Durante los primeros 3 minutos del último cuarto, los Clippers lograron extender su ventaja a 7 puntos. Oh.. my… GOD!

Después de que los Suns lograron acercarse a 2 puntos, los Clippers se volvieron a alejar por 6 puntos. Pero Stevie no dejaría que los Suns se rindieran, así que anotó 4 tiros libres, seguidos de una canasta de Grant Hill. Suns a un punto de los Clippers!

El “alemán” Chris Kaman metió una canasta para darle ventaja de 3 a los Clippers, pero Stevie respondió con dos puntos más. Chris Kaman responde de nueva cuenta con otra canasta… Stevie was not having it! Stevie responde con otra canasta… de tres! In your german-wannabe face, Kaman!

Con el juego empatado a 104 y un minuto 40 segundos por jugar, ambos equipos pierden un minuto entero sin poder lograr canastas.

Después de un tiempo fuera pedido por los Suns, Leandro Barbosa mete un triple!

Los Clippers necesitan tiempo para pensar y piden tiempo fuera. Al regresar, contestan con un triple de Rasual Butler dejando 11 segundos en el reloj y el partido de nueva cuenta empatado.

Después de un minitiempo de los Suns, Stevie se mete al tráfico y hace un layup para poner a los Suns arriba por dos puntos con 5 segundos por jugar.

Los Clippers piden un mini tiempo.

Al reanudarse la acción, Stevie le hace una falta a Eric Gordon con 3 segundos en el reloj. Como los Suns no estaban todavía al límite, los Clippers meten el balón a media cancha. Al terminarse el reloj, Eric Gordon intenta un triple que no entra.

Stevie terminó con 24 puntos y 8 asistencias en una victoria que me preocupa un poco. Después de todo, estos son los Clippers for crying out loud! Y les costó bastante trabajo ganarles. Y sé que tienen al rookie número 1 del draft… pero no jugó porque gracias a la maldición de los Clippers, se lastimó durante la pre-temporada y va a estar fuera cerca de 6 semanas.

Pero bueno, hay equipos con problemas mayores… Los Cavs perdieron su segundo partido de la temporada… contra los Raptors of all people! Y por 10!! Marcador final 91-101.

Como tal vez ya sepan, ahora Shaq es el nuevo compañero de equipo de Bron Bron en Cleveland y anoche en el home opener de los Cavs contra los Celtics, anotó 8 puntos en la primera mitad! Y terminó el partido con un doble doble… de 10 puntos y 10 rebotes. Sí, solo 2 puntos en la segunda mitad. That diesel should runs out quick!

Después de que Lebron se dio cuenta del tipo de contribuciones que puede esperar de Shaq, él anotó 38 puntos para ayudar a los Cavs.

Los Cavs llevaban una racha de 8 partidos ganados en casa contra los Celtics. Pero anoche acabó… Marcador final 95-89.
